We are hiring for a Procurement Officer on behalf of a client in Laguna Beach. This is a temporary, contract role with a quick start, ideal for someone experienced in public sector or private sector procurement who can step in and provide seamless support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage contracts from preparation to execution, using established templates and processes.
- Coordinate the procurement cycle, including requests for quotes, bid solicitation, and vendor selection.
- Prepare, publish, and manage Requests for Proposals (RFPs), including coordinating proposal review with multiple departments.
- Research and identify cooperative purchasing opportunities to leverage cost savings and efficiency.
- Oversee compliance with applicable purchasing regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Track and monitor procurement activities, maintaining accurate records and reports.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in procurement, contracting, or purchasing required; public sector experience highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of RFP processes, vendor management, and cooperative purchasing.
- Ability to draft, review, and manage contracts in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field highly preferred.
