We are hiring for an exciting contract opportunity with a client in Newport Beach, CA. This is an on-site position offering the chance to contribute to a variety of technology initiatives while supporting a professional IT team.
Position Overview:
The IT Analyst – Applications will be responsible for providing technical, analytical, and operational support for enterprise applications and technology solutions. This role involves working closely with end-users to understand requirements, developing and maintaining applications, supporting database systems, and ensuring the effectiveness and security of IT solutions. The position requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a background in application development and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, update, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications and databases to meet business needs.
- Work with end-users to identify requirements, propose solutions, and implement enhancements that improve workflow and efficiency.
- Design, test, and implement software applications and integrations.
- Provide technical support for application-related issues, ensuring operational effectiveness and data integrity.
- Design and maintain reports, dashboards, and data extracts based on business requirements.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate application upgrades.
- Prepare technical documentation and user guides for supported applications.
- Collaborate with IT staff on cross-functional projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressive professional experience in application development, system analysis, database integration, or software support.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise applications, SQL databases, and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with application programming and scripting languages such as C#, JavaScript, SQL, or similar.
- Ability to analyze complex business processes and recommend technical solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer service skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
