We are partnering with a respected public sector organization to identify an experienced Risk Management Consultant for a limited-term assignment. This position will provide leadership and operational support to an established Risk Management team, with a primary focus on workers' compensation administration, claims oversight, and insurance compliance.

We are seeking an experiences risk management professional who can quickly integrate into the organization, provide day-to-day operational support, oversee active workers' compensation claims, and assist with insurance compliance activities while working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and third-party partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide oversight and support for day-to-day workers' compensation operations.
• Monitor and coordinate workers' compensation claims administration with third-party administrators.
• Ensure compliance with applicable California workers' compensation laws and regulations.
• Assist with contract insurance compliance, including review of liability insurance requirements and certificates of insurance.
• Collaborate with internal departments, legal counsel, and external vendors to resolve claims and compliance matters.
• Provide guidance and recommendations to support effective risk management practices.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience managing or overseeing workers' compensation programs.
• Strong understanding of California workers' compensation regulations, including third-party administrator oversight and Labor Code requirements.
• Experience with workers' compensation claims administration, including utilization review, litigation management, return-to-work programs, and Medicare reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of insurance compliance, including general liability, professional liability, and automobile liability requirements.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship management skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
• Ability to step into a limited-term assignment and effectively manage ongoing operations with minimal supervision.
