Registered Nurse (RN) – School Nurse 

We are hiring for a great client in Glendale, AZ. This is an on-site contract opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) – School Nurse who will provide comprehensive health services to students, promote a safe and healthy school environment, and support student well-being and academic success. 

Responsibilities 

Provide direct nursing care to students, including assessment, treatment, and management of acute and chronic health conditions 

Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and district policies 

Develop and implement Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) and contribute to IEP and 504 plans as needed 

Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid and emergency care 

Monitor and manage communicable diseases while promoting infection prevention and health education 

Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state, federal, and district regulations 

Collaborate with parents, physicians, teachers, and school staff to support students' health needs 

Provide health education and training to students and staff on wellness, safety, and medical procedures 

Ensure compliance with immunization requirements and other student health mandates 

Qualifications 

Current AZ Registered Nurse (RN) license required 

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred 

Previous experience in pediatric, school, public health, or community nursing preferred 

Current CPR/BLS certification required 

Knowledge of IEPs, 504 Plans, Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs), and school health regulations preferred 

Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills 

Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills 

Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with students, families, educators, and healthcare providers
