We are hiring for a great client in Signal Hill, CA, seeking a Certified Payroll and Compliance Specialist. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with a well-established construction company. Please apply directly if interested.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process weekly payroll for approximately 100 employees using QuickBooks.
• Ensure compliance with certified payroll requirements and labor standards for union contractors.
• Manage and maintain accurate payroll and compliance records in LCP Tracker (experience with LCP Tracker is required).
• Verify and prepare prevailing wage reports for multiple projects.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure proper documentation for compliance audits.
• Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees, unions, and external parties.
• Conduct regular reviews to ensure payroll data aligns with union and legal regulations.
• Assist with reporting and documentation for government-mandated compliance requirements.
• Support the team with payroll adjustments, reconciliations, and issue resolution.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
• Experience using LCP Tracker is a plus.
• Prior experience processing payroll in a unionized or construction environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of certified payroll practices and prevailing wage requirements.
