We are partnering with a client in Irvine to fill a temporary Senior Accounting Technician role. The Senior Accounting Technician will perform advanced accounting and bookkeeping duties, ensuring the accuracy of financial records and reports. The role involves monitoring ledgers, reconciling accounts, processing payroll, and providing technical support to staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile General Ledger and subsidiary accounts, ensuring accurate coding and month-end close processes.
• Process revenues, prepare bank deposits, and manage petty cash accounts.
• Audit and input bi-weekly timesheets, assist in payroll processing, and reconcile payroll liabilities.
• Process invoices, manage accounts receivable, and support collections for past-due accounts.
• Handle deposit accounts, including setup, reconciliation, and refund processing.
• Provide support for financial audits and prepare necessary schedules and reports.
• Utilize financial software for data management, reporting, and analysis.
• Train and guide junior accounting staff and assist team members with financial procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field and at least a few years of progressive accounting experience.
• Familiarity with accounting principles and best practices.
• Experience with financial software such as Workday or One Solution is beneficial but not required.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
