School Social Worker

We are hiring for a great client in Greenville, MI. This is an on-site contract opportunity for a School Social Worker who will support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral well-being while helping remove barriers to academic success in a school-based setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services to students
• Support students with social-emotional learning, coping strategies, and behavioral needs
• Conduct social histories and contribute to student evaluations as part of the IEP process
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
• Assist in developing and implementing behavior intervention plans and support strategies
• Connect students and families with community resources and services
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Support crisis intervention and prevention efforts within the school
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) required
• Active MI Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential in School Social Work preferred
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong understanding of social-emotional development and behavioral interventions
• Knowledge of IEP processes and special education compliance
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Ability to build relationships with students, families, and staff
• Compassionate, proactive, and student-centered approach
